2500 Feet Range Driveway Alarm Detects Cars Only

Many people don't want their driveway alarm to alert them for all movement in their driveway.  Deer, for example, would trigger a PIR based driveway alarm.  An option is a magnetometer based wireless driveway alarm.  These products use a proble that detects metallic objects as they pass by the detection zone.  A wireless signal is then sent to the speaker, receiver and a chime alert is sounded.

One limitation with many driveway alarms is range. Although driveway alarms hvae a plublished range, environmental factors such as terrain, home or business construction materials, etc. may degregade the transmission range.

The DCPA-2500 is sister product to the DMCA-2500 product and part of the Dakota 2500 series of products with a published range of up to 2500 feet. 

The probe is buried approximately 12'' into the ground and come with 50 feet of wire that connects to the transmission box.  When a metallic object passes within 12 feet of the proble (the detection zone) a wireless signal is sent to the plug in receiver/speaker.  The probe transmission box is powered by a 9 volt battery, and the receiver plugs into a standard wall outlet.

The DCR-2500 is the standard receiver for our 2500 Series products. It has four form “C” relay outputs and one 12VDC output. The output durations are adjustable up to 10 minutes. The receiver will play one of four different tunes that are selected at the transmitter so that different zones can be distinguished. The receiver is powered by a 12VDC transformer. It also offers a 5 minute exit delay so you can leave the house without disturbing any occupants as well as a reminder beep and counter function.

Extra wireless transmitters can be used in other locations; for example, a second driveway, other buildings, backyard, etc.
